Approve the Return of Fifty SEON Bus Surveillance Systems Back to the Vendor, SEON Design Inc. for Full Credit

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Hillsborough County Public Schools Transportation Department will return fifty SEON bus surveillance units back to the vendor for full credit. These fifty units are VHS units and the full credit can be applied to the purchase of new Digital Video systems. The SEON video systems are older models and the tape capacity is only 4 hours. These video units will either be traded in for parts or digital video system purchases that are much more reliable and hold up to 30 hours of data.

This action will address the key divisional goals of student safety and fiscal responsibility.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)

There is no financial impact on this transaction. The vendor is located in British Columbia and will fund all shipping charges.
