Approve the Administrative Appointment of Supervisor of Staff Development for the Teacher Incentive Fund(TIF)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The position of Supervisor of Staff Development is available due to the Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF)/Performance Outcomes With Effective Rewards Grant (POWER). The TIF/POWER grant is a five year initiative designed to improve student achievement by increasing teacher effectiveness. POWER seeks to build capacity to increase student achievement by offering staff development for 116 schools identified as having a student population of 50% or more participating in the Free and Reduced Priced Meals Program. The Supervisor of Staff Development for TIF, will oversee development, delivery, and follow up of all district offered project training.
