Approve List of Stolen and Missing Tangible and Intangible Personal Property (Business Division) Revised Attachments
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
School Board Policy 7.11 provides authority to the Board to delete from the Fixed Asset Master File, tangible and intangible personal property that has been declared by Property Custodians as stolen or missing. In addition, government generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) require that the Board's investment in fixed assets be reduced by the cost of the items. The time period for this report is from July 1, 2007, through December 31, 2007.

The Net Book Value (cost less depreciation) of the items is $66,401.13. Governmental agencies, per Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Statement 34, are required to utilize depreciation in reporting Net Assets.
