Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Credit Amount of $132,071.84 for Classrooms for Kids Addition at
Cypress Creek Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On November 9, 2006, the Board appointed Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and Mathews Construction to provide design and construction management services. This addition is necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. The scope of work provides for an additional 16 classrooms.

This change order provides a credit for the direct purchase of materials by the District, in accordance with the Direct Purchase Program.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.
