SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This is a design-build project being planned by the Facilities Division. Contract award is being recommended concurrent with and contingent upon approval of matching funds for the project. The scope of work provides for a new metal playcourt canopy. Alternate No. 1 provides for a speaker/intercom system and Alternate No. 2 provides for electrical service to the canopy.
The project was advertised and six bids were received (see attachment). Award of the project including both alternates to the low bidder, Reyes, Inc., is recommended. Project completion is scheduled for August 7, 2008.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The contract amount being awarded is $115,260. Expenditures will be funded as follows: $50,000 is included in the District Capital Outlay: 2 Mill and $65,260 is the school's contribution.
