EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On January 17, 2006, the Board appointed Reynolds, Smith and Hills, Inc. and Christiano Construction Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The scope of work included 24 new classrooms plus 2 student toilets, providing 600 additional student stations. This addition was necessary to meet class size reduction requirements.
The Board previously approved a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the project, and several subsequent change orders.
This change order provides credits for project savings, return of unused contingency funds, and a net reduction in previously approved allowances for general conditions.
The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
