Approve a Change to the “District Technology Plan 2007-2010” Through the Addition of a Project Page to Ensure Compliance with the Recommendations of the Monitoring Site Visit for the Title II D Entitlement: Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) Grant

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This year's Title II D application supported several of the technology assisted reading initiatives of the District. Software and equipment purchased with these funds support research-based and state approved reading initiatives. The EETT grant funds are being expended as indicated on the attached Technology Plan Project document. In order to insure continued compliance with the grant, the "District Technology Plan 2007-2010" is amended to include a project page referencing the entitlement grant, the EETT funding, as well as budget recommendations for the funding.

Priority 3: Updating and Integrating Technology

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

The budget for the 2007-2008 EETT entitlement is positively impacted by the addition of $427,574.51 which is being expended to fund the initiatives listed in the executive summary and on the attached Technology Plan Project document.
