On April 24, 2007, the Board appointed The Architectural Practice, Inc. to provide design services for the interior build out of a portion of the new Instructional Services Center (ISC). Staff has subsequently identified several additional tenants for a portion of the remaining space. Many of these new tenants must be moved from Velasco Student Services Center prior to August 15, 2008 to avoid the leasing of additional parking space. (Space previously made available to the District on Hillsborough Community College (HCC) property must be vacated by August 15th to accommodate HCC expansion plans.)

Due to the requirement to accomplish an expedited build-out and move, and to insure consistency and continuity with the previous work, it is recommended that the The Architectural Practice, Inc. be appointed to design the Phase II Build Out, for a fixed fee of $81,960.

Construction budget is $1,170,880. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Community Investment Tax.
