Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Credit Amount of $520,340.14 for Renovation at
Riverview Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On February 13, 2007, the Board appointed Schenkel Shultz Architecture and Halfacre Construction Company to provide design and construction management services. The renovation of existing facilities includes Clinic, restroom, signage, and door hardware upgrades to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements; upgrades to lighting, fire alarm, mechanical and electrical systems to meet current codes; interior painting; and selected floor resurfacing. Exterior work includes roof and window replacements, ingress/egress improvements, and additional security fencing.

This change order provides a credit for the direct purchase of materials by the District, in accordance with the Direct Purchase Program.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.
