SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Award of Contract for Roof Replacement at
West Tampa Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

John J. McKenna Architect P.A. was selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide architectural services. The scope of work provides for replacement of the roof at West Tampa Elementary School. The project was advertised and bids received (see attachment). The low bidder, All Area Roofing and Waterproofing, Inc., is recommended. Project completion is scheduled for October 20, 2008.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Total funds in the amount of $545,000 are included in the District Capital Outlay: 2 Mill. The contract amount being awarded is $542,999.
