Approve Acceptance of Project for
Classrooms for Kids (Package 4), Various Schools

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed John J. McKenna Architect P.A. and Hunt Construction Group, Inc. to provide design and construction management services for classroom additions at Cork, Knights, and Springhead Elementary Schools. These additions were necessary to meet class size reduction requirements. The scope of work provided for the construction of 16 additional classrooms at Cork, Knights, and Springhead Elementary Schools.

The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.
