Approval of Charges for Student Supplies – 2008-2009

The School Board annually approves charges, reimbursements, rental fees, etc. to cover the cost of consumable supplies, textbooks, vocational kits, etc.

Category 1 These funds are given to schools for consumable supplies. These funds are supplied by the School Board. Recommend increase to fees for Career/Technical for new courses.

Category 2 These charges are paid by the students and the books, kits, etc., become the property of the student. Each charge reflects the actual cost of the item.

Category 3 These are rental fees paid by the students.

Category 4 These items are service charges paid by the students and are primarily vocational club dues and similar charges.

Category 5 These are optional items including workbooks, paperback novels, etc. that are generally sold through the bookstore.

Overall estimated Career/Technical supply funds are expected to increase by $15,831.42 over the actual 2007-2008 Career/Technical educational supply funds dispursements due to the opening of new programs and a new middle school.
