SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Addendum to Agreement with the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) to Host FHSAA Softball Finals State Championship at the Plant City Stadium, Plant City, Florida (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We request approval of the addendum to extend the agreement to host the
FHSAA 2009 Softball Finals State Championship event on May 11-16, 2009. The event draws teams from all over the state of Florida. The district has hosted the State Softball Championships at Plant City Stadium for many years. This agreement extends the term to include the 2009 tournament. To accommodate the large crowds, press, and media representation from a multitude of cities, FHSAA officials and staff, as well as, district personnel are needed to run the multi-day event. This event is held at the Plant City Stadium.

The expenditures for the tournament will be offset by gate receipts and no additional funding will be required.
