Approve Construction Documents and Guaranteed Maximum Price for Painting and Remedial Modifications at
Stewart Middle School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Architectural Practice, Inc. and J.B.D. Construction, Inc. were selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services. The scope of work provides for interior and exterior painting and remedial modifications. Project completion is scheduled for August 15, 2008.

Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish a cost for the project.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Construction cost is warranted at $516,460. The construction budget is $520,000. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: 2 Mill ($300,000) and Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) Maintenance ($216,460).
