Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Amount of $213,149.23 Credit, 101 Calendar Day Time Extension, and Acceptance of Project for Baseball and Softball Field Lighting at
Chamberlain High School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The engineering firm of Lyle Engineering Group, Inc., was selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services. On June 6, 2006, the Board awarded the contract to the low bidder, M. Gay Constructors. The scope of work provided for installation of field lights for baseball and softball fields at Chamberlain High School.

Change Order No. 1 provides a credit for direct purchase of light fixtures, poles, and mounting hardware, increase in cost for foundation installations due to unforeseen soil conditions, credit for reduction of incoming service feeders due to relocation of Tampa Electric transformer and increase in cost for electrical distribution equipment.

The engineer advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.

Provide adequate school facilities for the accomplishment of all District Goals and Critical Success Factors.
