On February 19, 2008, the Board appointed Reynolds, Smith & Hills, Inc. and Ellis Construction Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The renovation was planned in phases to accomplish the majority of the work during summer breaks and avoid the need for temporary portable classrooms. Phase 1 includes roof repairs; concrete and masonry restoration; new windows; new acoustical ceilings and lighting; interior painting; new window treatments; new signage, casework and markerboards; and selected plumbing fixture and flooring replacements.

This change order provides a credit for the direct purchase of materials by the District, in accordance with the Direct Purchase Program.
