We request approval of the revised Renewal Agreement for the continuation of educational services by the Department of Adult and Community Education to incarcerated adults at facilities operated by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

This Agreement for Educational Services (Financial) is a revision to the agreement submitted and approved by the School Board on June 10, 2008, Board Agenda Item number A1.16. This revision is limited to an increase in compensation from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office -Inmate Canteen Fund from $1.90 per student hour for vocational skills training to $2.01 per student hour; and from $.96 per student hour for adult general education instruction to $1.00 per student hour.

These fees are included in the Workforce Education Fee Schedule approved by the School Board on August 19, 2008, Board Agenda Item number A1.04.

All Strategic Objectives

Classes generate Workforce Education Fund revenues and are included in the divisional general operating budget. Classroom space is provided at no cost to the district
