Approve Career Pathways Articulation Agreements with Hillsborough Community College for Related Secondary Programs. (Career and Technical Education)

We request approval of 30 updated articulation agreements with Hillsborough Community College that will provide high school students the opportunity to receive college credit for a completed Career Pathways Program of Study. For the past seventeen years, the School District has worked collaboratively with numerous postsecondary institutions in implementing Career Pathways Programs of Study. One major component of Programs of Study has been the establishment of articulation agreements allowing District secondary students the opportunity to enter degree-seeking programs at an advanced status. These articulation agreements allow secondary students to earn credits that apply to the degree programs listed on the attachment.

* Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates, * Demonstrate consistent and effective teaching methods, * Motivate students to become responsible learners, * Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum

All District Career Pathways programs are FTE-earning and are included in the general operating budget.
