SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Deputy Superintendent’s Realignment/Reorganization

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

As the District moves to cut costs and improve the processes and accountability across all divisions the following changes are recommended:

Move the Business Process Improvement (BPI) Department from the Business Division to a direct report to the Deputy Superintendent. This would allow the BPI team to work objectively with all divisions.

Implement the following changes in the Auditing Department.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

* Recruit, develop, and retain a highly effective, diverse workforce, * Align the performance management system with the district’s priorities, * Provide for a district-wide succession planning structure and visible career ladder, * Align financial resources to support the district’s strategic goals, * Demonstrate best financial practices, * Promote a culture of safety, which is free from harassment, bullying, and aggression, * Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety including students, employees, visitors, facilities, transportation, and health

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Upon implementation of the realignment/reorganization, there is a current savings of approximately $128,558.86 (Part I funds).
