Approve a Contract for Medicaid Data Management Partnership with Gadsden County School District for the Period of March 1, 2009 - December 31, 2009 (Business Division)

The School Board of Hillsborough County (HCPS) will provide billing services under the Medicaid "Fee-for-Service" program for the Gadsden County School District. The billing agent for the Gadsden District is not renewing Medicaid services contracts in the State of Florida and this has resulted in some small school districts, including Gadsden, without the capabilities of billing Medicaid and thus, a further loss of revenue for these districts. HCPS has the unencumbered capacity to accept responsibility for processing Medicaid billing for a limited number of these small school districts. Acceptance of this responsibility will not result in any additional personnel or payroll costs for HCPS.
