SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve the Recommendation That the Attached Employees Be Permitted to Continue Their Involvement With Their External Endeavors Because There Is No Material Conflict of Interest Between Their Outside Endeavor and Their Employment (Business Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) applies the State of Florida Commission on Ethics Guidelines with respect to conflicts of interest. The established guide gives directions and procedures relative to situations of conflict of interest, potential conflict of interest, and perceived conflict of interest. Where appropriate, the Superintendent provides conflict information to the Board for action. The attached items are small, or not of a material nature, but are being presented as a consolidated report of conflict information provided to the Procurement Department. In the future, conflict of interest information will be presented as information is received. This item has been addressed by School Board Attorney, Tom Gonzalez. (continued)

The conflict of interest statements have no financial impact to HCPS. If the products or services are purchased, the department responsible will follow appropriate purchasing guidelines.
