During the expansion of the Hillsborough County Community College ("HCC") campus on Palm Avenue in Tampa, the School Board of Hillsborough County ("HCPS") was notified that the shared parking area on the east side of the HCC campus would no longer be available for HCPS employees assigned to the Velasco Building. Allen Temple AME Church, located across from the Velasco Building, was approached by HCPS staff with an offer to utilize their parking area during the week when services were not being held at their facility. The Church has agreed to a License Agreement in the amount of $9,000 for an initial term of five years. HCPS will provide proper liability insurance coverage to the Church, but will not be responsible for any maintenance and/or repairs to the parking area.
