SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Construction Documents and Guaranteed Maximum Price for
Bailey Elementary School, New Facility

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On July 15, 2008, the Board appointed Holmes Hepner and Associates Architects and HCBeck, Ltd. to provide design and construction management services. As of the current boundaries, relief will be provided for Bryan, Cork, Dover, Knights, Lopez, and McDonald Elementary Schools. Project completion is scheduled for August 6, 2009.

Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish a cost for the facility.

Construction cost is warranted at $12,422,693. The construction budget is $12,464,000. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Classrooms for Kids.
