Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Amount of $32,756.00 Extra, Approve 119 Calendar Day Time Extension, and Acceptance of Project for Replacement of the Fire Alarm System at
Chamberlain High School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Anston-Greenlees, Inc., was selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services. Award of contract to the low bidder, SAI, Inc., was approved by the Board on May 20, 2008. The scope of work provided for replacement of the fire alarm system at Chamberlain High School.

Change Order No. 1 provides for extension of the new fire alarm to existing portables and a new concession building, and the connection of existing heat detectors in the auditorium attic to the new system. This change order also includes a time extension for the additional work.

The engineer advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.
