Carastro & Associates, Inc. was selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services. The scope of work provides for replacement of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment that has exceeded or is reaching the end of its useful life at Burney, Clair Mel, Foster, Mendenhall, and Riverview Elementary Schools and Greco Middle School. The project will improve the reliability of the HVAC systems and reduce energy consumption at the affected schools. Project completion is scheduled for August 2009.

Approval of the design development phase will allow the engineer to proceed with construction documents.

The project is currently funded at $1,315,490. The estimate of probable cost is $1,195,900. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Local Millage.
