Recognition of Seventh Grade Student Honored by the Duke Talent Search Program as a 2009 Bevan Merit Scholar (Middle School Education-Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We are pleased to recognize Elaine Hou, seventh grade student at Young Middle Magnet School, who scored a perfect score of 800 on the math section of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) College Entrance Exam. This accomplishment distinguishes her as a Duke Talent Search Bevan Merit Scholar. Her scores on the SAT place her within the top 20 of the nearly 70,000 Talent Search participants.
