Approve Purchase Contract for Right-of-Way Acquisition at Strawberry Crest High School and David E. Bailey, Jr. Elementary School in Dover (the Blount Trustee Property)

To complete the infrastructure and roadway improvements necessary at the Strawberry Crest High School and David E. Bailey, Jr. Elementary School campus located in Dover, additional properties for rights-of-way need to be acquired. These rights-of-way properties are for the installation of a sanitary sewer force main, stormwater improvements and road widening. Staff of Hillsborough County Public Schools has retained an independent appraiser and cure expert to perform evaluations to establish the value of the acquisition area.

One of the properties (the Blount Trustee Property) is located on the north side of East U.S. Highway 92, east of Gallagher Road in Dover, and is owned by Sharon Faye Blount, as Trustee, depicted on Exhibit "A". The purchase of 253 square feet will complete this portion of the acquisition. Based on appraisal and negotiations between the parties, the price of $3,000 has been determined.

The $3,000.00 funding for the right-of-way acquisition of the Blount Trustee Property for Strawberry Crest High School and David E. Bailey, Jr. Elementary School will be derived from Local Millage Funds.
