On November 18, 2008 the Board appointed RHC and Associates, Inc. to provide design services. The scope of work provides for replacement of direct exchange air conditioning equipment and associated refrigerant piping, controls and electrical wiring. The Board has previously approved the purchase of major equipment for the project.

The project was advertised and bids received (see attachment). Four firms responded to the solicitation. Staff has confirmed that the low bidder meets the qualifications prescribed in the solicitation. Award of contract as indicated in the attachment to Kenyon & Partners Inc., the low bidder, is therefore recommended.

Total funds in the amount of $850,000 are included in the District Capital Outlay: Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) Construction 08-09. The contract amount being awarded is $850,000.
