On November 18, 2008 the Board appointed Parker Stephens Inc. to provide design services. The scope of work provides for a complete renovation of the HVAC system at Mango Elementary School. The scope also includes replacement of existing lighting with new energy efficient lighting. The Board has previously approved the purchase of major equipment for the project.

The project, including several alternate items, was advertised and bids received (see attachment). Six firms responded to the solicitation. Staff has confirmed that the low bidder for the combination of base bid and alternate items selected for implementation meets the qualifications prescribed in the solicitation. Award of contract, as indicated in the attachment for the base bid and alternates selected for implementation, to Kenyon and Partners, Inc., the low bidder, is therefore recommended.
