Approve Award of Contract for Roof Replacement at
Northwest Elementary School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Weber & Tinnen P.A. was selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services. The scope of work provides for total roof replacement.
The project, including an alternate bid item, was advertised and bids received (see attachment). Bidders were asked to provide separate prices for the base roof replacement scope for each of two methods of roof construction (hot asphalt or cold adhesive.) Fourteen firms responded to the solicitation. Staff has confirmed that the low bidder meets the qualifications prescribed in the solicitation. Award of contract, as indicated in the attachment for the base bid and alternate selected for implementation, to Anderson & Shah Roofing, Inc. of Florida, the low bidder, is therefore recommended.

Total funds in the amount of $404,000 are included in the District Capital Outlay: Public Education Capital Outlay (PECO) Maintenance 08-09. The contract amount being awarded is $403,800.
