Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Credit Amount of $975,951.62 for Renovation at
Pinecrest Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On February 13, 2007, the Board appointed Howard & Associates Architects, P.A. and J.O. DeLotto & Sons, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The renovation of existing facilities includes new fire sprinklers, door hardware, and window blinds; upgrade of interior partitions to satisfy fire code requirements; signage; fencing of selected areas; canopy and sidewalk repair; interior and exterior painting; repair of selected windows and doors; refacing of selected casework; replacement of selected roofing, plumbing fixtures, and flooring; and replacement of lighting, ceilings, low voltage systems, chalkboards, toilet partitions and accessories, and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) chillers.

This change order provides for final reconciliation of the Direct Purchase Program for the renovation project.
