SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Change Order No. 2 in the Credit Amount of $40,054.40 for Renovation (Phase 1) at
Ballast Point Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On February 19, 2008, the Board appointed Woodroffe Corporation Architects and J.B.D. Construction, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The renovation was planned in phases to accomplish the majority of the work during summer breaks and avoid the need for temporary portable classrooms. Phase 1 includes exterior handicap accessibility revisions; new roofing throughout the campus; upgraded interior lighting; and new intercom and security systems.

This change order provides a credit for project savings and the return of unused contingency funds.
