Approve Charges for Student Supplies - 2009/2010

The School Board annually approves charges, reimbursements, rental fees, etc. to cover the cost of consumable supplies, textbooks, vocational kits, etc.

Category 1 - These funds are given to schools for consumable supplies. These funds are supplied by the School Board. Recommend increase to fees for Career/Technical for new courses.

Category 2 - These charges are paid by the students and the books, kits, etc. become the property of the student. Each charge reflects the actual cost of the item.

Category 3 - These are rental fees paid by the students.

Category 4 - These items are service charges paid by the students and are primarily vocational club dues and similar charges.

Category 5 - These are optional items including workbooks, paperback novels, etc. that are generally sold through the bookstore.

Estimated Career/Technical supply fund allocations are expected to increase by $26,961.86 over the 2008/2009 Career/Technical educational supply fund dispursements due to the opening of new programs, a new middle school, and two new high schools.
