SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Agreement for Technical Services with Thomas W. Miller and Doug Langford, to Assist Information Services Department Staff with the Migration of Lawson Custom Programs, 9.01 Application (Information and Technology Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

During the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for the Lawson upgrade, it was determined that there were an unknown number of hours needed to accomplish Lawson custom program migration activities. In the RFP award, a task was assigned to Ciber to more clearly identify the number of hours for these activities. Ciber has completed analysis of the need, and it is roughly 1,000 hours of programming time to complete the migration. These two agreements will give the district the needed resources to complete the migration successfully.

The two individuals recommended have been employed with Hillsborough County Public Schools previously. Thomas Miller was an Information Services employee in the Lawson Human Resources/Payroll (HR/PR) area. Doug Langford was a technical consultant, also working in the Lawson HR/PR area. They both have an in-depth knowledge of the custom programs and the district's operations.
