Hillsborough County Public Schools' staff has been informed of an opportunity to purchase two lots located at 302 and 304 South Bungalow Park Avenue, Tampa. These lots are situated at the southeast corner of West Platt Street and South Bungalow Park Avenue across from Mitchell Elementary School. Staff had two independent appraisals performed and the purchase price of $575,000 is below the average of the value established for these properties.

Providing adequate parking for the Mitchell Elementary School campus has been an ongoing challenge. With the proposed acquisition, immediate and future parking needs could be accommodated.

Funding in the amount of $575,000 and closing costs for the acquisition of 302 and 304 South Bungalow Park Avenue adjacent to Mitchell Elementary School will be derived from Local Millage.
