Evaluation Results and Approval of the Continuation of Superintendent's Contract 2009-2010.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

All School Board members have completed the Superintendent's annual evaluation process, and all School Board members have rated the Superintendent satisfactory or above on all standards. Thus, her overall performance is "Above Satisfactory" on the rating scale. The average rating of the seven evaluations was 40.3 points out of a maximum of 45 points. Mrs. MaryEllen Elia received a performance rating of 282 points out of 315 points.

The compilation summary of the evaluation is found in Attachment A. Comments collected from her evaluations are reflected in Attachment B. In accordance with the language in the Superintendent's contract, the length of her contract is automatically extended one year.

By contract, the satisfactory evaluation and contract extension will affect the operating budget with a zero percent increase. Mrs. Elia's 2009-2010 base salary is the same paid to her during the 2008-2009 contract year at $257,958.80.
