SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Amount of $5,320.00 Extra for Paving at
Citrus Park Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Kisinger, Campo & Associates Corp. was selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services. The scope of work provides for paving of parking lots at Citrus Park Elementary School and North Tampa Alternative School, and athletic track conversion and improvements at Leto High School. On April 21, 2009, the Board awarded the contract for construction to Alto Construction, Inc.

This change order provides for replacement of a speed table on Citrus Pointe Drive near Citrus Park Elementary School. The speed table was eliminated as part of approved road modifications associated with Smith Middle School. Hillsborough County staff have subsequently required restoration of the speed table. We are accomplishing the work via change order to the paving project at Citrus Park Elementary to avoid the additional administrative and mobilization costs associated with a separate project.
