On February 19, 2008, the Board appointed Reynolds, Smith & Hills, Inc. and Ellis Construction Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services. The renovation has been planned in phases to accomplish the majority of the work during summer breaks and avoid the need for temporary portable classrooms. Phase 2 includes site drainage corrections, new classroom windows, electrical service, and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in selected buildings.

This change order provides for new underground piping and wiring for a new transformer as required by Tampa Electric Company, new electrical service to Building 12 required as a result of the transformer replacement, and additional electrical renovations required due to unforeseen conditions.
