Adopt a Proclamation Declaring October 19 – 23, 2009, “School Bus Safety Week”
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The National School Association of Pupil Transportation School Bus Safety Week is October 19 – 23, 2009. The theme “Avoid Harm; Obey the Stop Arm,” is derived from last year’s poster contest. Schools across the district and country have been invited to participate in this year’s poster contest and to remind students, bus drivers, and motorists of their roles in assuring the safe transportation of students to and from school.
