Approve Schematic Design and Design Development Phases for Renovation at
Trapnell Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On April 21, 2008, the Board appointed The Architectural Practice, Inc. and Halfacre Construction Company to provide design and construction management services. The renovation of existing facilities will include replacement of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system; ceilings and lighting; selected doors and windows; plumbing fixtures; canopies and roof; the electrical distribution system; and existing fencing, paving and site lighting. Project completion is scheduled for November 2010.

Approval of the schematic design and design development phases will allow the architect to proceed with construction documents.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

The project is currently funded at $3,173,000. The estimate of probable cost is $3,172,302. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Local Millage.
