Approve the Administrative Appointment of the Administrator on Special Assignment for Measures of Effective Teaching (MET) Project

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Administrator on Special Assignment is a new position established to provide support, leadership, and assistance in the implementation of the MET Project. The administrator will be responsible for the day to day operation of the MET Project, a partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) that will conduct research on various aspects of effective teaching. Duties of the position include overall project management, including budget management; acting as a liaison for research team, other project staff, HCPS leadership, and project partners; ensuring fidelity of project implementation; coordinating data management to act as a liaison for BMGF on project logistics; and facilitating the results into the District's planning and implementation work.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Funding for this project is provided by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. HCPS is the grant's fiscal agent and project funds reside with the District.

EVALUATION

Project research will be conducted through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
