EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Hillsborough County Public Schools will be awarded an energy conservation rebate check for approximately $132,000, one of the largest ever paid. This rebate represents a partnership in sustainable energy conservation between Hillsborough County Public Schools and the Tampa Electric Company that will serve to save the district an estimated $75,000 annually on electric costs. The rebate will substantially reduce the first cost of the five new thermal energy storage projects installed in the summer of 2009 at the following schools: Bing, Boyette Springs, Hunters Green, Roland Park and Schwarzkopf.
