Approve Change Order No. 1 in the Amount of $710.00 Extra and a Time Extension of 32 Calendar Days for Walkway Canopy at
B.T. Washington Elementary School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Harvard Jolly, Inc. was selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services. On May 5, 2009, the Board awarded the contract for construction to D.B. Construction Services, Inc. The scope of work provides for a walkway canopy at B.T. Washington Elementary School.

This change order provides for the replacement of the existing deteriorated concrete sidewalk as requested by District staff and correction of existing unforeseen building code deficiencies. A time extension of 32 calendar days is included for completion of the work.

Hillsborough County has agreed to reimburse the District for construction of the project; therefore, there is no financial impact to the District.
