Recognition of Hillsborough County High Schools With a Graduation Rate Above 90% (Secondary Education - Curriculum and Instruction Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Hillsborough County High Schools continue to increase their graduation rate. Improving on an already solid record, graduation rates demonstrated larger gains for the 2008/2009 school year. Graduating 82.2 percent of its students, Hillsborough County ranks the highest among Florida’s large counties.

We are pleased to honor the following 11 high schools whose graduation rate is above 90% for the 2008/2009 school year.

Newsome High School - 98.96%
Plant High School - 95.66%
Bloomingdale High School - 95.14%
Sickles High School - 94.18%
Riverview High School - 93.38%
Tampa Bay Technical High School - 93.06%
Alonso High School - 92.37%
Durant High School - 91.96%
Gaither High School - 91.81%
Chamberlain High School - 91.64%
Freedom High School - 90.1%
