Adoption of Proclamations – Student Services Week and National School Counseling Week, February 1-5, 2010 (Curriculum and Instruction Division and Student Services and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Florida Department of Education declares the week of February 1-5, 2010, “Student Services Week” and “National School Counseling Week.” During the month of February, local principals and school district personnel recognize the positive work of these staff members which strengthens student learning and family/community involvement. This School Board recognition acknowledges the important role that guidance counselors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, student intervention specialists, dropout prevention specialists, and college and career counselors play in the academic, social, emotional development, and health of students in our school district.

* Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety including students, employees, visitors, facilities, transportation, and health
