Approve Alternate Appointment to the Value Adjustment Board (VAB)

The VAB has scheduled a meeting for February 11, 2010. The VAB requires the attendance of a School Board Member to establish a quorum. The current representative to the VAB is Chair Valdes and Member Kurdell as alternate. Due to other professional duties neither Chair Valdes nor Member Kurdell are able to attend this meeting.

Therefore, it is necessary to appoint another School Board Member to represent the School Board of Hillsborough County at the February 11, 2010, VAB meeting. It is necessary to take this action at this time to allow the appointed member to receive orientation training before the scheduled meeting.
