Approve the Administrative Appointment of the Director for the Intensive Partnerships to Empower Effective Teachers Grant Focusing on Communication and Project Management
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Hillsborough County Public Schools received the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's Intensive Partnerships to Empower Effective Teachers Grant. Four director positions were established to manage aspects of the grant such as Evaluation/Compensation, Assessment and Performance Management, Communication and Project Management, and New Teacher Induction.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
* Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates, * Demonstrate consistent and effective teaching methods, * Motivate students to become responsible learners, * Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum, * Recruit, develop, and retain a highly effective, diverse workforce, * Align the performance management system with the district’s priorities
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The director positions will be fully funded from the Empowering Effective Teachers Grant.
EVALUATION
The project's progress will be evaluated by the District, Gates staff, and external evaluators.
