Recognition of the Little Kids Rock Foundation for its Outstanding Contributions to the K-12 Students of Hillsborough County Public Schools (Elementary Education - Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Little Kids Rock Foundation, based in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, focuses on music education and has partnered with Hillsborough County Public Schools to provide curriculum instruction through popular music styles. Teachers involved in the program use the Little Kids Rock methodology to teach K-12 students to play musical instruments. They have also provided our schools with guitars, keyboards and drum sets as well.  All training and instruments have been provided to us at no cost to the district.  To date, the Little Kids Rock Foundation has donated 1,534 guitars, 275 keyboards with stands, and 40 drum sets.

Recently, the Little Kids Rock Foundation arranged for Rich Eckhardt, guitarist for country singer Toby Keith, to visit Oak Grove Elementary while in town for a concert.

Little Kids Rock has received a $375,000 grant from the Hot Topic Foundation, which will be used strictly for Hillsborough County Schools over the next three years.
