| Approve Change Order No. 1 for Roof Replacement at Hillsborough High School | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
John J. McKenna, Architect P.A. was selected from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services. The scope of work provides for replacement of roof on Building 400. The project was publicly advertised and bids were received. District staff awarded the contract for construction to the low bidder, General Works of Tampa, LLC. Bids included an alternate price for replacement of roof insulation. As the condition of the roof insulation could not be determined until demolition of the roof, the contract award encompassed the base bid for replacement of the roof membrane only, and did not include replacement of the insulation. Upon demolition of the roof, staff determined that new insulation was warranted. This change order provides for the addition of the bid alternate for insulation replacement to the contract. |
