Accept Piggy-back Between Fleet Products, Inc., and the School Board of Pinellas County, FL, Utilizing the Motor Vehicle Parts: Common Contract for the Purchase of Motor Vehicle Parts: Common (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Applicable Florida Department of Education (DOE) and district policy allows purchases from contracts awarded by other governmental agencies, district school boards, Department of Management Services (DMS), etc., at or below specified prices.  This practice reduces procurement administrative costs.

The Transportation Department will be utilizing the School Board of Pinellas County, Florida, agreement to purchase common motor vehicle parts.  The initial term of this award is for one year from October 12, 2010 to October 11, 2011.  

This piggy-back will be in effect until the Procurement Department solicits and awards a new bid in January 2011.  The Superintendent is authorized to approve the renewal agreement for the terms of the specifications.

Funds of $85,000 will be available in the Transportation Department budget, as needed.
